Canal Street Plackard

This historical marker is located at the junction of Canal Street and Rochester Street in Scottsville. If you proceed up the board walk and up to the village, you will find this sign at the intersection.

The stone foundation which you can still view from the boardwalk when you look northward along the ditch which used to be the Scottsville & Genesee River Canal is likely the remnants of foundation of the warehouses mentioned on this sign.
